Essie Lapiz of Luxury Review

Essie Lapiz of Luxury is a beautiful light cornflower blue, which I absolutely adore, for I love pastel colours on my nails and almost always can only wear them. Using Essie's new formula, this nail polish applies opaque in 2 coats. I used this with the Essie Grow Stronger Base Coat however forgot to apply a top coat, so after a day or two the nail polish started to chip around the edges.

Now, this colour is perfect for almost any occasion. It has a very high-shine finish, and is a beautiful fresh shade. Each coat took about 1-2 minutes to dry, and I found no streaking as it's quite a thick formula.

Overall, I can't fault this nail polish. Though it did chip, I'm afraid that was through my error of not wearing a top coat. I would recommend this for mainly a fresh look in spring or cool and icy look in winter.

Sleek Blush by 3 Sweet Cheeks Review

Sleek are very well known and adored here in the UK, for they offer very highly pigmented products similar to that of NARS for only a fraction of the price. So, when their limited edition Candy Collection Blush by 3 palette came out, I had to have it.

As you can see, mine isn't in perfect condition. Each blush has a few dents/marks in from either dropping a brush in or catching it with my nails when opening. However, I still love this palette. It's rare I find 1 blush that I like, let alone 3, and 3 that I use all of, well that's miraculous! But I can safely say I use each of these blushes regularly.

Packaged in Sleek's trade matte black plastic palette with the shiny Sleek logo (and on this, as it's limited edition, a small silver 'candy collection, SWEET CHEEKS) the palette has a very handy large mirror on the inner lid, making it perfect for travel.

Candy Floss: A gorgeous corally-pink powder with slight shimmer, this blush looks beautiful on tanned skin. Applied to the apples of the cheeks, this blush leaves a beautiful coral glimmer on the cheeks with yellow/orange undertones.
Dolly Mix: A very cool subtle matte pink that's almost lilac, this shade is my favourite of the 3. I wore it to school for the last to weeks and had many compliments. When applied to my cheeks, it almost seems to cover up my natural redness and leave me with a shimmer of colour and a radiant glow.
Cupcake: The cream blush in the trio, a hot pink with blue undertones, it applies gorgeously and can be effortlessly layered to achieve the desired intensity. Due to its texture, it has a long wear time and doesn't fade off as easily as the two powders.

Overall this is one of my favourite Sleek products, for unlike many palettes, there isn't a dud product, and all are very highly pigmented and look gorgeous on all skin tones  I bought mine in Superdrug for £9.99, but they've stopped selling them now as they were only limited edition, however you can still but it here at Sleek.

''What a slut time is. She screws everybody.''

Some of you may recognise the title of this post as a quote from John Green's The Fault In Our Stars, one of my personal favourite books. That isn't the only reason it's taken place as the title of this post, however. It's because it's one of the most truthful and well-put quotes I've ever discovered in a book.

I can't apologise enough for not posting recently, even if no one reads my blog every post gives me a warmth of satisfaction that I rarely find in any task. I love having a blog, and hope one day one of my posts helps someone to decide on a product, to apply a product or even just interests them enough that that read to the end.

If any of you are in any way interested, here's what I've been up to in my absence:

I went to Belgium! For my first time being in the country, I loved it. We visited many historical sites associated with WWI in Ypres, such as the Menin Gate, Passchendaele and Langemark Cemetery. We then went shopping in some lovely little belgium chocolate shops, and to be in company of close friends the day was lovely.

My braces came off! As much as I love my smooth new teeth, I do miss having braces. I'm not sure why, I just liked the way they looked, and having something to balance my tip on top off. I now have a retainer I have to wear constantly (except when brushing and eating) for four months, however it's more ofter thana not covered in lipstick. Whoops!
Day's in the park have become a frequent must for us English folk with the hot weather and all. As hard as it is to believe, we don't only walk our corgie's and drink tea. Only in the afternoons, anyway. And look, we smile! Really we do!

Obviously, I have been up to a lot more, but these are the parts I felt to share. I will hopefully be posting a lot more from now on, and please feel free to leave comments.
